my parents have split up. i dont get on with my step dad and his daughter. my mum is always slagging off my dad, then trying to explain and making it worse. some days she cant even look at me because i remind her of him. my nan who got me through the divorce has died and now i feel like i have no-one. my stepdad hit me the other day and i know he hits my mum, she denys it but she wont make him leave, even though its her house and he is just sponging off her. why cant she see him for the pathetic man he is. i dont feel any resentment towards my dad at all, but i wish i felt welcome to move in with him, but i dont. i dont know what do.

tell your dad that your step dad hit you and your mom that dosent work out tell your mom that she has to choose between your step dad or you if that dosent work out runaway to your dads or ask your mom to let you go if that dosent work out go to the police good luck
I wouldn’t even wait to call the police! You should’ve done it in the first place! Problems like these never go away! They only escalate until someone ends up dead! If your mom won’t listen you have to step up and call 911! Don’t threaten that you are going to call because that will only enrage him, but you do need to do it immediately so the can document everything with pictures. Stand your ground! NO ONE deserves to be hit!
